Best New Hampshire State Parks

NH state parks offer endless recreational opportunities to all residents and citizens in the White Mountains. Mount Washington State Park is the highest State Park on the East side. There are plenty of year-round fun activities.

Visitors can enjoy swimming, camping, horseback riding, boating, hiking, mountain biking, fishing, beaches, fire towers, and more. There are also many fun opportunities for whole families because many campgrounds within the parks offer a chance to enjoy playgrounds, picnic areas, ball fields, etc.

Many miles of multi-use trails lead to exploring secluded, gorgeous ponds and lakes. It is an amazing option for exploring geology, flora, and fauna and viewing wildlife.

In the winter months, some parks don’t facilitate visitors due to the unavailability of staff. However, winter has plenty of fun things, such as snowmobiling, skiing, snowshoeing, etc.
