Are you a chocolate lover looking for a delightful winter experience that combines the magic of the holiday season with the rich flavors of chocolate?
The Jingle Bell Chocolate Tour in Jackson, New Hampshire, is the perfect choice for chocolate lovers that warms both the heart and the taste buds. This annual delightful festivity is one of the Granite State’s best holiday traditions.
If you like sweet treats in small mountain towns in an Austrian horse-drawn sleigh, it is a must-do activity. This tradition has become very popular among locals and visitors alike. This article will share the personal knowledge we experienced last year during this enchanting tour.
What is the Jingle Bell Chocolate Tour?
The Jingle Bell Chocolate Tour is the right choice if you want to enjoy a super fun holiday adventure in Jackson, New Hampshire. It is a unique holiday tradition for Jackson Village people, who have been doing it for over 20 years. The magical journey offers a chance to eat lots of yummy chocolate.
Let’s discuss how it works.
During the tour, you can ride in special Austrian sleighs that take you around the town by following a map. Gorgeous horses pull the sleighs, and you wear a unique jingle bell necklace.
As you ride, the chocolate adventure starts in a carriage, and the sleigh stops at local inns and Bed and Breakfast places where you get to try chocolate from talented chocolate makers. Different chocolates, such as chocolate-covered strawberries and super soft, creamy, and hot chocolates, are served.
Our tour to Jackson Village started from the Snowflake Inn, where we picked up our bags, jingle bells, and chocolate treats. Reaching the Christmas Farm Inn and Nestlenook Farm by sleigh was difficult.
Then we sat down in our sleigh, strapped our jingle bells around our necks, and headed out on our tour. During our time, we stopped at several inns and businesses where we rang our bells, and business owners or local innkeepers came out from the property to greet us.
They presented us with delightful chocolate treats and often shared interesting hidden stories about the history of their property. The chocolate treats were fabulous, and they delivered chocolate minty fudge-like pieces, chocolate pops in the shape of a Christmas tree, or soft, melty chocolates.
The treat from the Inn at Jackson stood out as our absolute favorite. They served us generous, homemade marshmallows coated with a layer of rich, smooth chocolate. They decorated with colorful sprinkles that left us with a taste of pure joy. The good thing is that there is no pressure to eat all the marshmallows simultaneously. You can save them in your bag for future use.
Beyond the chocolates, the charming tour offers a chance to immerse yourself in the holiday spirit. The village was beautifully decorated, and friendly villagers often dressed in festive clothing that added to the joyful atmosphere of the tour.
It is a family-friendly tour that is suitable for visitors of all ages. Kids are delighted by the decorations and anticipate what chocolate treats they will get at the next stop.
